MedPack Definition

A MedPack identifies the total amount of medication a patient will collect per cycle and per financial scheme, regardless of the actual number of boxes. Each MedPack has a composition in which we can enter the number of vials distributed to the patient.

  • A MedPack is part of a Cycle, which is part of a Treatment Plan

  • A MedPack can be made of multiple medications

  • A Cycle can be made of multiple MedPacks

  • A MedPack is always related to a financial scheme: Paid, Free of Charge, Voucher, Charity and Donation

MedPack Validation

Why do we validate?

  • Personal quality assurance

  • Compliance requirement to follow strict processes, needed for audit purposes

  • Statistics calculation

Validation Scheme

5da2debf-57b8-436e-9791-a841893306d3

Validation Rules

At the start of a patient's Treatment only a few Cycles can be interacted with, the rest are "locked" with only key information displayed. For locked Cycles, no information can be added.

To unlock subsequent Cycle(s), please ensure that Cycle validation is done in chronological order with no gaps between Cycles.

For example: If Cycles 1 and 3 are validated, but Cycle 2 is not, no new Cycles will be unlocked.

Medication Release Status

An MRL or Voucher (“letter”) can have multiple statuses

Active: all letters are active by default. Active letters are created once the patient is pre-enrolled in the program and have a treatment plan allocated

Distributed: the “MRL/Voucher Given Date” has been saved in the Patient > Medicine tab of the patient. Axios can still reset all settings of the letter by changing the information and checking the “Reset MRL/Voucher” checkbox.

Validated
: The Patient has collected the medication, all relevant documents have been uploaded, and the “Validate this MedPack” checkbox has been checked and saved. Once validated, a MedPack (and its letter) cannot be updated.

Cancelled: The letter has been cancelled by Axios. A new letter is automatically created to replace it to match the treatment plan. A validated letter cannot be cancelled or deleted from the treatment plan.

The letters must follow the below lifecycle.

Reconciliated: The letter has been reconciliated in the Pharmacy profile.

Pharmacy Validation: The Pharmacist has validated the MedPack through the MyPharmacy app or Pharmacy Portal, either by scanning the QR code, or entering the security code provided by the Patient.
